For couples holding an outdoor ceremony, a wedding tent can be the perfect functional, yet decorative accessory. From romantic lighting to draped fabric, here are a few of our favorite wedding tent ideas to wow your guests on your special day.
Pop of Color
While a traditional wedding tent is usually white or neutral shades, you can also incorporate some pops of color for a more modern look. Choose one or two of your wedding colors to incorporate throughout the tent such as curtains, rugs or floral arrangements. We recommend keeping the color subtle to create a more cohesive tent theme.
Draped Fabric
One of our favorite wedding tent ideas is adding a touch of elegance with some soft fabric draped from the ceiling. Not only does this add some depth to your tent, it’s also an easy decoration for any tent size. You can even include some delicate twinkling lights to the fabric for a dazzling ceiling effect.
Clear Top Tent
Depending on your wedding venue and outdoor scenery, a clear topped tent can help bring the outdoors inside. You’ll have a beautiful view of the surrounding trees and other landscape, while also still being protected from the elements and any unseen weather. This is a great option for spring and summer weddings, but can also be used in the cooler months as well.
Add Some Light
For afternoon weddings that may stretch into the night, be sure to have plenty of lighting on hand to brighten up your tent. String lights along the edges of the tent can set the scene, along with candles, lanterns or chandeliers on the inside. Don’t be afraid to keep your lights dim as well for romantic ambiance.
Overhead Florals
Surprise your guests with eye-catching floral installations suspended from your wedding tent ceiling. Mirror your centerpieces on the table below with a larger, more extravagant arrangement overhead. Depending on the size of the florals, you can also auction them off in a raffle for wedding guests to take home at the end of the night.
