Wedding rings are one of the most important details of your wedding ceremony. While a ring pillow is most traditional for the ring bearer to carry your rings down the aisle, many couples are now opting for more creative alternatives. Here are just a few of our favorite alternatives to wedding ring pillows.
Custom Ring Dish
For an easy, simple alternative to the traditional ring pillow, we recommend a custom ring dish. You can design your own with engravings such as your initials or wedding date. You can even incorporate your wedding colors and other elements of your wedding theme. The ring dish is also a great keepsake for long after your wedding day.
Wood Slice Wedding Ring Holder
A wood slice is one of our favorite ring pillow alternatives for a rustic or outdoor wedding or even a barn venue. Attach the rings to the wood with a piece of yarn, ribbon, or twine – or carve out a small hole in the wood where the rings can sit safely. You can also personalize the wood slice with a custom engraving such as your names or monogram, and use it for decor after your ceremony as well.
Include Your Pet
What better way to include your family pet in your wedding than having them carry your rings down the aisle as ring bearers? The most common way is to attach the rings to your pet’s collar so they can easily walk down the aisle, but you can use other methods as well depending on how calm or trained your pet is. While this idea works best with dogs, it can really be used with any pet you have that is well trained!
Seashell
For couples looking to get creative with alternatives for their wedding ring pillows, a shell is a beautiful option. You can either place the rings in a larger-sized shell or make your own shell ring box using a clam or oyster. We recommend only opting for this alternative if it fits into your wedding theme or venue such as an ocean-themed ceremony or venue near the ocean.
