From dramatic storylines to the steamy romance, Bridgerton has quickly become one of our favorite shows. With many brides-to-be drawing inspiration from the show as well, it’s now easier than ever to have your own regal wedding. From the royal fashion to the decor, here are a few of our favorite monochromatic wedding ideas inspired by Bridgerton.
Choose Your Color
When planning a monochromatic wedding, the most important first step is choosing the color you’d like to use as the main focus. While narrowing your choices to just one color may seem challenging, we recommend using your wedding season as inspiration. For spring and summer weddings, softer hues such as blush pink or baby blue are ideal while fall and winter weddings can lean more toward vibrant tones such as maroon and navy.
Monochromatic Decor
Once you’ve selected your chosen color theme for your monochromatic wedding, be sure to incorporate that color throughout all of your wedding day decor from save the date cards to your bridal shower and centerpieces. If your wedding color is burgundy for example, weave that color into your flower vases, table linens and your own accessories such as the bridal bouquet, wedding shoes or hair piece.
The Fashion
Much of the style throughout Bridgerton involves high empire waists, capped sleeves and scoop necklines. You can easily recreate this look with your wedding dress, or add your own modern flair. Opt for an embellished bodice or even a colored wedding dress for an updated look. For a more Bridgerton-inspired gown, embody Daphne’s own style with a light or baby blue colored wedding dress.
You can also incorporate your monochromatic color into the bridesmaid dresses along with the men dressed in tailcoat tuxedos and bowties. If you’d like your guests to participate in the monochromatic fashion as well, don’t forget to include a dress code on your wedding invitations.
The Florals
To fully embody a monochromatic wedding, don’t forget to include flowers in your monochromatic color. Roses are always a great option because they come in a variety of colors. White roses were also a common theme throughout Bridgerton and make a beautiful wedding flower. From your bridal bouquet to a floral archway for your ceremony, include your chosen flowers throughout all of your floral arrangements.
You can also draw inspiration from Bridgerton‘s wedding scene with hanging wisteria and bundles of white roses paired with fresh greenery. If you’ll also be having floral centerpieces, we recommend adding a few candles as well for romantic lighting.
