Finding the perfect dress for your wedding day can often be a long process, with so many different styles and details to choose from. A few trends have emerged this year such as many brides opting for dresses with long, flowing trains and even colored wedding dresses. Here are a few hot wedding trends you’ll want to know before going dress shopping for your special day.
Unique Lace
We’ve seen a move away from the traditional lace flower details to more unique lace overlays in recent months. The design makes for an elegant, timeless dress and can be created with intricate beading, needlework and more. You can also choose to have the lace overlay all over your gown or even just on the bodice of your dress.
Colored Dress
Colored wedding dresses are still an incredibly strong trend in 2020 and we don’t anticipate that changing anytime soon. Off-white colors such as ivory look beautiful on all skin tones while colors such as blush, champagne and gold are also popular. We’ve even seen many brides opt for a striking black wedding dress!
Long Trains
Long trains are one of our favorite wedding trends because they can be as dramatic as you’d like. Make an entrance during your ceremony as you glide down the aisle with a long, flowing train trailing behind you. Choose from a variety of styles including a sweep, chapel, cathedral or royal train – each with their own custom length and details.
Detachable Skirts
Removable skirts are another surprising trend we’ve seen emerge this year. With two dresses in one, a detachable skirt allows brides the versatility to have a beautiful full gown for the ceremony, then quickly transition to a sleeker style that’s easier to move and dance in for the rest of your reception. This is one of the hot wedding trends we think will be big this year.
