With beautiful foliage and perfect weather, fall is one of our favorite times of year for a wedding. Whether you’re looking for a sprawling manor or a cozier village venue, here are some of our favorite fall wedding venues in Michigan.
The Harris Building
Originally built in 1892, the Harris Building now occupies the former Union Brewery in Grand Rapids. The building is crafted with brick walls and craftsman woodwork for a timeless rustic vibe. It’s second floor also features 180 foot ceilings with a large ballroom perfect for weddings and an indoor setting ideal for the fall months. The Harris Building offers all-inclusive wedding packages along with additional add ons for photography, videography, bar service, florists and more!
Willowbrook Mill
The next locale on our list of fall wedding venues is located on the northwestern coast of Michigan. Willowbrook Mill sits in a charming village at the top of the Leelanau Peninsula. The venue offers beautiful decor for your special day including an outdoor deck, chandeliers and fireplaces. You’ll have your choice of their Weekend Reception packages with space for up to 130 guests, or opt for a cozy weekday package for up to 60 guests. Willowbrook Mill is also Traverse Magazine’s “Red Hot Winner” for three years in a row for Northern Michigan.
Sundance Studios
Owned by a husband and wife team, Sundance Studios started as an abandoned bank and blacksmith shop before transitioning into the beautiful venue it is today. Reservations are available on Fridays through Sundays during the months of May through October for a beautiful fall wedding right before the winter months. The studio in our list of fall wedding venues has a designated ceremony site in their ‘secret garden’ courtyard influenced by old European gardens. There is also a Bridal cottage and Grooms garage available for your big day.
Greencrest Manor
Next on our list of fall wedding venues is a stunning mansion. Described as a “blissful slice of Europe nestled in Southwest Michigan”, Greencrest Manor is located in the woods just outside of Battle Creek. This 13,000 square foot French Normandy mansion features ivy-covered walls, lush gardens and fruit orchids all sitting on fifteen acres. Greencrest is currently owned and operated by a seasoned wedding planner so you can be sure you’re getting the best experience for your own wedding day. You can choose to host a one day event, or invite your family and friends to stay for an entire weekend affair with full access to the estate.
