Why you should choose Charlevoix castle

Charlevoix Castle: Is Castle Farms Right for Your Wedding?

//  by The Wedding Shoppe

Make your fairy tale wedding dreams come true with a gorgeous castle location for your special day. From its lush green gardens to cathedral windows and balconies, here are a few things to know about Charlevoix Castle when planning your wedding.

History

First built in 1918, Castle Farms began as a model working dairy farm with inspiration from castles found in Normandy, France. Many owners later, the castle underwent an extensive restoration project in 2001 and began hosting weddings in 2002. Castle Farms is also home to Michigan’s largest outdoor model railroad along with a WWI museum, extensive gardens and private collections of history.

Ceremony Locations

Charlevoix Castle is well known for its beautiful grounds, with a variety of stunning locations to host your ceremony. Weddings are hosted outdoors between the months of May and October, and indoors from November to April. Choose from their royal courtyards, garden rooms, gallery or chapel – or even say “I do” on their lush lawns. There is also heating and air conditioning available in each reception room no matter what time of year.
