Our Favorite Items for a Bridal Emergency Kit

//  by The Wedding Shoppe

There’s no such thing as being too prepared, especially on your wedding day! Whether it’s a small wardrobe malfunction or a lipstick smudge, you’ll want to ensure that everything goes smoothly. Here are a few of our favorite items to keep in your bridal emergency kit so you can have the best day ever.

Bridal Emergency Kit Items

Band Aids

Band aids are one of our favorite items for any emergency kit. From shoe blisters to even small injuries, these can be a huge lifesaver for any last minute mishaps. We recommend having some in a color that matches your skin tone as well, just in case any peek out from your wedding shoes or clothing.

Sewing Kit

Perhaps one of the most important items to have in your bridal emergency kit is a mini sewing kit. You can never predict when a dress may snag or a stitch may rip, but a sewing kit makes it easy to do a quick repair no matter where you are. A well-prepared bride would never be without one.

Stain Remover

A stain remover can be your best friend in case of emergencies. Whether your drink spills or even a lipstick stain, white chalk or a portable pen should do the trick. They also dry quickly so you can be back on the dance floor before you know it! We don’t want you walking around with a stain on the wedding dress of your dreams.

Makeup

For the lipstick smudges and eyeliner mishaps, a small makeup kit is a must in every bridal emergency kit. We recommend only the essentials such as lipstick, liner and mascara for quick touchups. Blotting papers are also a good item to include for a quick blot rather than redoing your makeup and to ensure you look amazing in all of your wedding photos.

Breath Mints

Not only will you be very close to your partner throughout the ceremony, but you’ll also be talking to numerous family and friends during your wedding reception. Keep your breath fresh with a few small breath mints in your bridal emergency kit so you can pop them in quickly. Floss is another great item to have on hand for any pesky food items as well.

Fashion Tape

You don’t want to spend your special day pulling up your wedding dress or continuously adjusting your neckline. Fashion tape is especially helpful for brides with strapless dresses so you can keep everything in place and simply enjoy the day.

Hairspray

Hairspray can have a few different purposes on your wedding day, from keeping your hair looking nice to eliminating any static in your clothing or stockings. Bobby pins are also good to include for the stray hairs that don’t want to stay in place with hairspray.

Once your wedding day is over, you’ll want to preserve your beautiful dress. We recommend finding a wedding dress cleaning and preservation service near you so you can keep those memories alive for years to come! Don’t have the dress of your dreams yet? Let us help! Book an appointment and we will find a dress you will love.
