While a winter wedding comes in the middle of the holiday season, it’s also the most romantic time of year for a wedding with its cozy weather and tasty seasonal treats. From holiday cheer to festive colors, here are a few of our favorite winter wedding theme ideas for your special day.
Silver & Gold
Not only does silver and gold add a pop of color to your wedding, it’s also a great way to keep your wedding theme minimalist yet glamorous. Add a few touches of silver and gold to everything from your wedding invitations to your cake. You can even add some shimmer to your wedding dress with beautiful silver beading or gold lace overlay as well.
Winter Wonderland
Take advantage of your winter wedding and celebrate the season with a winter wonderland wedding theme. We recommend an all white color scheme to create the feeling of snow, with added touches such as pinecone centerpieces, white roses, twinkle lights and a gorgeous ice sculpture. You can even have some fake snow on hand to sprinkle upon your guests at the end of your ceremony to celebrate your “I do’s”!
Go Dark
Winter is known for its dark, moody colors such as maroon, navy and emerald green. These colors are also perfect to incorporate into your winter wedding theme. You can also have bridesmaids dresses in one single color, or even choose a single color palette with different hues. Opt for darker colored florals as well such as deep red roses, with a pop of blush or white for a beautiful contrast.
Holiday Cheer
Since your wedding will be happening in the middle of the holidays, why not incorporate a little holiday cheer? It’s also incredibly easy to get creative with this winter wedding theme. Choose a few of your favorite elements from the holiday season such as a red + green color scheme, lighted trees and even ornaments as party favors. And don’t forget to add some of your favorite seasonal beverages to the bar as well, such as hot chocolate, peppermint mochas and apple cider.
