The Best Wedding Dress Styles for 2019

//  by The Wedding Shoppe

Bridal Fashion Week is here once again and already serving up some amazing new designs for 2019. Designers such as Monique Lhuillier, Vera Wang and Theia are showing us their take on the classics. From gowns that glitter to plunging necklines and even jumpsuits, there’s a trend for nearly every bride. While runway fashions may seem daunting, these are some of the best wedding dress styles for 2019 to wear on your special day.

Bows

Your favorite childhood trend is making a comeback this season with bows seen on several different designer runways. Not only are they great for accenting a waistline, but they’re also now being used in all aspects of the dress from bows along the neckline, straps and even the train. They can be used as the perfect mix of dainty and dramatic, depending on the look you’re going for.

Capes

Capes are no longer just for superheroes! What began as a popular piece for those in the colder states, such as Michigan in the winter, has now become a widespread trend. Made from fabrics such as tulle or lace, you can find a cape to match nearly any wedding dress. Capes are also an easy alternative if you don’t want to commit to a veil but still want an added element to your dress. They’re also easy to remove and can be embellished with feathers, sequins, flowers and more.

Glitter + Sparkle

You’ll be the belle of the ball when you walk down the aisle in glitz and glamor. Sparkling wedding dresses are one of 2019’s top trends with designers such as Jenny Packham and Theia sending their own glitter creations down the runway. From minimal dustings to head-to-toe sparkle, there are countless ways to incorporate glitter into your own wedding dress. We recommend keeping the accessories to a minimum so you don’t draw attention away from your statement sparkles.

Dramatic Sleeves

One of the biggest trends for 2019 that’s already been seen all over the runways is dramatic sleeves. From sheer and voluminous to embellished and exaggerated, the traditional sleeve designs are getting a major upgrade. Another perk? They also help keep you warmer should you be getting married during the colder months!

Jumpsuits

One of the most unexpected trends we’ve seen for 2019 is the return of the jumpsuit. Whether you opt for a power suit or a jumpsuit of your own, you’ll command the attention. You can choose from a simple design or go with an edgier option with added lace and tulle. You’ll also have a much easier time getting down on the dance floor! We love this version from Tadashi Shoji but there are several designers jumping on this trend.

Plunging Neckline

There’s a reason the plunging neckline has remained a classic throughout the years. Not only does it flatter nearly everybody it also makes your body appear longer. This trend can be worn a variety of ways, including a lace-embellished torso, satin and more. Just don’t forget your fashion tape at home to avoid any possible malfunctions! You might try this gorgeous dress from Inbal Dror to really wow!
